  1. Make sure that you actually ASK QUESTIONS more often than you feel comfortable doing. YES, you will struggle at the start, but:

  2. It is NOT about you, it is about whoever you are coaching. Then, when you are truly COACHING, remember that you need to do more than just “prescribe” training:

  3. You need to TRULY connect with the person as a human, and AT LEAST understand their WHY — if not for the super long-term, then at least for the short-term goals that they are “chasing” in life generally, not just in sports.
